JOSEPH UMOIBOM, a Fellow of the Certified Institute of Auctioneers of Nigeria and an Alumni of the United States International Visitors Leadership program on Cultural Heritage Preservation, is a man of many parts. He is a seasoned producer, an accomplished administrator, a curator of several art exhibitions and art installations in Lagos and its environs, and the manager of TERRA KULTURE, arguably one of the most successful performance spaces in Nigeria. He has vast experience in art program content development, management, implementation and evaluation of visual and performing art programs. He has produced, coordinated and managed many successful drama, musical, and film productions that include, Saro the Musical, Wakaa the Musical, Fela and the Kalakuta Queens, Queen Moremi the Musical, Man Enough, Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, and other theatre productions of Terra Kulture.  Joseph Umoibom spoke with Kolawole Olaiya of Nollywood In Review in Lagos, Nigeria, in early July of 2024. It was an enlightening conversation on theatre, art management, script development, and the way in which TERRA KULTURE is deploying theatre as a tool of education. Our discussion of the novel approach for sourcing scripts for their films and stage drama should be of interest to film students and scholars.
