Bimbo Akintola is an actor, producer, and a humanist. A talented artist who has won many awards in a career that spans many years, Bimbo personifies passion for excellence with a clear voice for women and children. Nollywood in Review met briefly with her on location in Lagos, where she shared her views on some contemporary Nigerian realities. In this short interview granted at an extremely short notice, she spoke about the difference between acting on stage and film, positive roles film can play in society and had a few words on the economic benefits of skits to youths in contemporary Nigerian society. The interview shows her passion and advocacy for women and children – and her interest in the underprivileged, those who dwell at the margins of society.
