Recently, Kolawole Olaiya of Nollywood in Review had a conversation with the Nollywood director, Tope Adebayo to talk about his works. His reputation as a talented and exceptionally creative Nollywood director is known beyond Nigerian borders. He is one of the best movie directors in Nigeria who is passionate about telling beautiful stories. But he is not just a director; he is a Content Creator, Producer, Actor, and Creative Entrepreneur.

Tope started out as a Set Designer. But friends who noticed his creativity convinced him to switch to directing. He accepted the challenge – that singular decision became a blessing to the Nigerian movie industry. “Agesinkole” and “Jagun Jagun”, two recent movies co-directed by Tope Adebayo bear testimony to the ways he handles his craft. In this interview, granted to Nollywood In Review at a short notice, he spoke about his experiences as a director, the joys and challenges of co-directing Agesinkole and JagunJagun, and the challenges being faced by Nigeria indigenous language movie makers.
